Classic Colonial Pine Custom Kitchen
Custom Kitchen Cabinets, in the Classic Colonial Style
by Delnero Custom Kitchens
Built for Elizabethe & Linda ~ Homer, New York
Elizabethe e-mailed us with a computer draft from a designer friend, and inspiration from a picture she found in a kitchen magazine. We originally quoted her to build a set of pine cabinets similar to the design shown below. She liked the quotes, and said she'd be back to us when she found a contractor to do the remodel work. Months later she mentioned not having any luck finding a qualified contractor. We shared with her that our family has built many homes, and would be willing to quote the entire kitchen remodel. Delnero Custom Kitchens ended up with the full job.

A shot of the finished custom set of solid pine kitchen cabinets and island. The cabinetry featured a simple raised panel in the doors, seedy glass doors, under cabinet lighting, bi-level upper cabinets, custom milled crowns, electrified island, and arched toe kicks.
A provided computerized isometric drawing showing the layout of the kitchen.
The counter tops, back splashes, and sink were made of soap stone from The Vermont Soap Stone Co.
Just to the left of the set of pine cabinets, was a butler's pantry with custom built in cabinetry built from bead board. The off white painted beadboard walls and cupboards was a nice contrast with the cabinets and floor. We worked the wrought iron handles and hinges in our blacksmith shop.
The island had 7 drawers on one side, and 2 drawers and 2 doors on the other. Notice, the small drawers have revealed dovetails like the ones found in the magazine kitchen. The island's top was a solid 3" thick maple butcher block.
A close up of the center drawer that held silverware in 15 vertical cubicals.
Across from the cabinets sits a rustic wine cabinet, built to order by Delnero. The upper doors also featured antique seedy glass. The center section was lighted, and there was a wine rack in the lower section.
A close-up of the solid maple wood racks that hold 20 wine bottles. There were adjustable shelves behind all 4 doors for wine glasses and such.
