Custom Handcrafted Heirloom Flame Cherry
& Bird's Eye Maple Hunt board Server
60" Wide x 38" High x 20" Deep
Quality, Built to Order by Delnero Custom Furniture Company
Handcrafted Heirloom Furniture, built in New York, U.S.A.
The rugged and simple lines of this stunning Huntboard Server create a fine backdrop to highlight the heirloom grade figured hardwoods used to build it.
Crafted completely by hand, this piece was built of SOLID Heirloom Grade Flame Cherry and Bird's Eye Maple. Built years before we owned quality digital
cameras, these images fail to capture the amazing woods used. Heirloom grade figured hardwoods have an iridescence that actually "appears to dance" as
one walks by.
There were adjustable selves behind the pair of double panel doors. The clients planned of storing liquors and supplies in the hunt board. The dovetail drawers ran on traditional wooden drawer runners. The hand turned custom knobs were lathed out of 50 year old mahogany wood.
The side & door panels were all bookmatched out of solid planks of breathtaking Bird's Eye Maple, from the same tree. The finest birdseye maple has a field behind the "eyes" that is called quilting. We drove 6 hours to purchase this wood. When we got there they showed us some other lumber that wasn't near the quality needed for this piece, and a matching china cabinet. After a bit of squawking, we ended up buying a few boards they had there that were destined to go to Japan!
