This custom Rustic Tall Clock was handmade of reclaimed white pine sub-flooring salvaged out of the hay mount of a 150 year old barn in northern Vermont.
The dimensions are 81" high, 20" wide, and 9 7/8" deep.
The movement is a German Bell Strike, completely made of solid brass. A solid brass bell rings on the hour, and once each half hour. The seedy glass panes in the upper and middle doors add to the character of this truly unique time piece.
Large tight red knots, close graining from old growth timber, and worm holes are some of the treasures found in century and a half old lumber. There is no staining required to capture this natural patina. All this color is uncloaked when the surface is introduced to Linseed oil.
