Shaker Dresser  It was common practice for the Shakers to use different wood combinations in their furniture building. The use of rare figured hardwoods added a natural beauty to a simple design without interfering with their beliefs, as they believed it was God who made the lumber so beautiful, and not their hand. In this dresser, Michael and John used heavily figured Curly Maple for the case, flaming Red Birch for the dovetailed drawers and hand turned Walnut Knobs. The drawers are graduated in size in classic Shaker design. The dimensions are 54" wide x 38" high x 22 1/2" deep. We offer Shaker dressers in many different different configurations of door, drawer, and style designs with matching bedroom furniture. Price available upon request.
