Rustic Sugar Chest

This butternut sugar chest is so antique looking, we have had discussions with dealers who thought that it was genuine. It features hand forged locks, hinges and handles. The top has a repaired butterfly patch. The top section was constructed using exposed hand cut dovetail joinery. It was finished with linseed oil.
It is such an interesting piece making it a great conversation starter. Its small dimensions make it suitable for placement just about anywhere.
