This antique looking cupboard could serve many purposes. This cupboard was
crafted out of a single plank of curly red oak that was 14' long x 17" wide x
3" thick. All the finished surfaces have been hand hewn with an adz, and then with a draw knife.
This piece features solid free floating paneled sides with one piece doors, reinforced from behind cross boards, wood knobs and a twist-turn close. The cupboard is held together with pegged mortise and tennons. There are shelves inside which can be placed to accommodate your needs.
The hinges, knobs, and cut nails were hand forged by us in our blacksmith shop. We treat the pieces with tongue oils and simple varnishes that were available in the time period.
This piece could go in just about any room of your house and add quite a bit of charm.
